IMGoing Marketing Manager

 

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

 

Job Type: Full-Time with yearly salary and benefits

 

IMGoing is looking for a Marketing Manager/Director to run the Marketing Department for the region’s best live entertainment company.  The ideal candidate will have experience with live music, event or festival specific Marketing.  

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the day-to-day operation of the marketing plan and calendar for Portsmouth Pavilion and Beach Events
  • Solicit and hire and manage any outside marketing agencies who will handle specific marketing efforts
  • Manage the development of needed creative assets with Graphic Designer/s
  • Negotiate and manage the ad buys with TV, Radio and Web for IMGoing 
  • Manage and fulfill sponsorship and talent ad inclusion as outlined in executed agreements. 
  • Participate in all marketing strategies with agencies which can include and is not limited to identifying in-kind partnerships
  • Continue to identify and create ways to support the efforts of IMGoing through flexible marketing strategies.
  • Write copy and scripts for print, radio, and TV
  • Oversee design and distribution, through a street team, of event posters throughout the oceanfront and in Portsmouth.  
  • Oversee web hosting and maintenance
  • Check website content for needed updates (sponsor logos, event data, and entertainment schedules)
  • Write and send E-blasts
  • Oversee newsletter development and distribution
  • Website data input
  • Monitoring marketing pieces to ensure inclusion of sponsor elements
  • Oversee and Implement social media strategy
  • Assist with creating and completing all assets, such as videos, ads, website changes, needed for selling tickets & sponsorships
  • Collect available analytics and create after action marketing reports for various stakeholders to include sponsors at Portsmouth Pavilion and Beach Events
  • Maintain and manage budgets associated with Marketing for IMGoing
  • Provide any and all necessary documentation to Finance department and adhere to all stated policy and procedures with execution of the budget.
  • Manage seasonal interns in the department
  • Coordinate the beach events marketing efforts with the CVB. 
  • Attend any city meetings to represent IMG Marketing Efforts across all programs.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the City of Virginia Beach Visitors Center.
  • Oversee and manage the Public Relations messaging across all programs.
  • Qualifications:
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Time Management Skills – ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in various stages of planning at the same time and to prioritize work to achieve maximum productivity
  • Communications Skills – ability to communicate with a variety of personalities across a multitude of departments and in a professional and appropriate manner
  • Problem-Solving Skills – ability to find creative and resourceful solutions to challenges the ability to work with multiple demands and high expectation
  • Ability to complete timely response to emails, voicemails and requests and follow through to multiple simultaneous requests.
  • Able to work long hours with an intense work pace
  • Computer/technology skills – high-level computer literacy, proficient in excel, word, pages, power point, keynote, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite in Adobe Creative Suite, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a related field and/or a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in a related field

IMGoing is a live event entertainment company that produces concerts and events throughout the state of Virginia. IMGoing operates the Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion (Portsmouth, Virginia) since 2005; and the Resort Management Agreement for Virginia Beach since 2009. IMGoing has produced events at most of the larger venues in the State including the Altria Theater and Carpenter Theatre. In addition to the nationally touring artists and festivals it has produced IMGoing has produces many community and Military events. Its Live! The Role:

This Event Operations Internship will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with event operations of the 2021 Beach Events program. 

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Program Managers, this event operations intern will be responsible for organizing and helping to execute events within the beach events 2021 program.  Tasks will be assigned based on skill set and the immediate needs of the event.

 

Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in customer service roles or other relevant experience

Must love being and working outdoors at the beach

Must be flexible is assigned responsibilities

Strong attention to detail

Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with different levels of the organization

This social marketing professional will primarily be responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks associated with social media campaigns as part of the Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion and the Beach Events program. 

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this enthusiastic social media marketer will be responsible for developing, promoting, and growing the @imgoingevents, @beacheventsvb (formerly @liveonatlantic) and @atlanticunionbankpavilion channels. Posts will be made daily on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter platforms. Working with the Marketing Manager, a social media calendar will be developed and maintained. 

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in social media or other relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of and experience with social media platforms 
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with different levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite & Google Suite
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, preferred
